Mommy's work is never done

With the holidays coming in there is so many things to do. What this house seems to forget tho is, laundry! Laundry is never done, I do 4 loads or so a day. (yea I could have others help, but laundry is a big thing for me that I prefer not be messed up). I have little ones Jody age 5, Casey age 3, and Scout age 2 who like to help me by handing me the clothes as I put stuff in. You would think I would have more help around the house, but my boys, all 8 of them, will do the minimum that they can. Alan my husband will do what he can, but being a Virgo he tends to concentrate on something totally unrelated to the normal cleaning. Right now he is trying to get the front room set up for the older boys, and a place to set a Yule tree. Must have it set up by Friday. If I were to get critical tho, he would give up all together. Ashton is trying to get dinner going, he's my 13yo and he enjoys cooking so that is a good thing for this household, because he's cooking for a small army. He has pizza pockets in mind, which is great for the kids, but is not so appealing for the adults. Maybe Alan can figure out something that would appease adult pallets. Meanwhile my little Scout took a nap, which isn't such a big deal, but gives him a second wind that is hard to handle as far as going to bed for the night goes. Alan has to hook up the dryer and run to the store. I have to fold some laundry and get after the kids who were supposed to do the dishes, and I'll probably clean off the kitchen counters because I'm not in the mood to argue. Alan needs to take some stuff to the storage bin today or tomorrow. The answer is no, we don't tend to get much alone time together. Every once in a while we do tho. It sometimes seems more like a business relationship tho. Forgetting the people that fell in love and just relating to each other as mommy and daddy.
