Christmas, filled with wonders, and kids who just scatter things. Try as you may to keep up, they will loose things the first day. All in the livingroom tho, and that's the odd part. Stockings unfilled candy everywhere! A tree filled with candycanes, yet not one got touched!
Tired, and not hungry for Christmas dinner. Do you really think this is Christmas? At my house it is. Kids can't get in trouble on Christmas. They don't have to eat what they don't want to, punishments get put on hold, and all the new stuff, and candy and cookies and fudge that their little hearts could desire.
This year was no different. We started off Xmas eve by tracking Santa on Norad, as we have done for years. Eating finger foods, sandwiches and chips for dinner. The kids left special reindeer food for the Reindeer on Santa's sleigh. (Oats and glitter). Santa gets a buffet here. He gets sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes, candy, coke, milk and eggnog. So off to bed they went, over half of them in footie PJs, then the oldest 3 in Pjs representing Xmas.
We get to stay up till about 4 in the morning wrapping all the presents. They wake up, and wow, he's been here, and they run to get the adults up so the festivities can begin. We set up the video tape, and camera, keeping the moment forever.
A day of Chaos, and wonderment, and fullfillment. All the wants that they can think of. Such a wonderful day, messy, and just great!
That was our Xmas!
